Crash when scanning for movies

Postby Dilligaf » Tue Feb 23, 2010 11:50 pm

Tried 579 and 588. I set movie paths in config editor to \\server\g and \\server\h , file level as all movies are in \\server\g_or_h\moviename\video_ts. I launch client in standalone mode, when I try to scan for movies I get the following error. It says access to system volume information is denied, that folder is listed in invalid folders in Config editor. I'm no programer but it looks like the folder isn't being ignored like it's supposed to. This is using Windows XP, haven't tried under Ubuntu yet but it worked last time I did. This is my first attempt at using UMM with windows and maybe I'm missing something stupid.

Peace
Mike

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

try this one, note you have to remove all 3 databases as the schema has been changed (few field changes as well as some index changes)

Seems to be working now, thanks. One small thing, as mentioned earlier my movies are on 2 network shares, after scanning the movie list lists movies on \\server\g from a to z followed by movies on \\server\h from a to z. Is this the intended behavior or should the movies from both sources be combined into one a to z list?? Personally one list works better for me. Thanks again.

Peace

one list in order is how is should be displaying the data, i know it doesn't work this way unless you load the movies from the database (which it'll do after the initial scan when you open up umm).
Basically the loader needs to scan and then load from the database so that it'll sort correctly, doesn't do it yet but it will. The tv shows work the same way (although there's something causing a slowdown when loading tv shows that I haven't narrowed down yet)
