build 4 - Rev 454

Postby Spudsdude » Tue Dec 08, 2009 11:03 pm

Build 4 - Based off SVN rev 454 (as of 09 Dec 2009)

If you used previous builds, remove your config and database's (config.xml and all files in the database folder) they will not work with this rev

Change list - see notes from rev 348 - 454 in svn commit's (there's a ton of internal changes to how the core works)

Things that don't work in this build
- TV Season images are not selectable yet, the database portion for seasons is not yet done. It should display them.

By default it's going to generate a few extra files for your movies, these allow use with multiple media centers, like sagetv, windows media center (using media browser) and others.

Some config options are not displayed in the config editor, you can modify the settings in the config.xml and advanced.xml (for rss feed links)

Since this is the first rev spun off after changing how we talk to the database, i'm sure a few basic issues with pop up.

Good luck, and please post your feedback, good /bad /indifferent / bug reports.

Thanks!
spuds

On the linux version, is it supposed to run in wine? All I have are a bunch of exe's and dll's.
Thanks,
Joel

Edit: Never mind. I'm new to mono, but I have it running now.

No problem, it's a good question.

It will not run in wine without the Windows Version of the dll files, so one could use wine for it with the windows version. (not recommended of course as it's way faster with mono)
I think there is a way to wrap the .exe files with mono so that it can be called like any standard binary in linux, but haven't really looked into that one.
